How to spend time in Kinosaki at the end of spring: Mikuniya Inn and a tour of the public baths.

Now that cherry blossom season is over, the scenery in Kinosaki is gradually settling down.
The trees along the river have turned into leafy cherry blossoms, and vibrant greenery is becoming more prevalent. At this time of year, the flow of people slows down a bit, and a relaxed atmosphere permeates the entire town.

After checking in, some guests head out to one of the public baths, while others prefer to relax in their rooms first. Everyone enjoys their stay in their own way.

One of the advantages of Mikuniya is that, being located in the heart of the hot spring town, you can easily go out whenever you feel like it. You can visit one of the public baths and come back, or stop by a shop along the way. You don't need to make a strict schedule; the day will just naturally unfold before you know it.

These days, many people combine a visit to the public baths with a leisurely stroll through the town. They might peek around Kiyamachi Alley or take a slightly longer route along the river. Walking under the cherry blossoms at this time of year, there's something wonderful about it that makes you feel relaxed and at ease.

Many guests choose to use the private baths after returning to their accommodations. We sometimes hear comments like, "The public baths are nice, but this is so relaxing." Perhaps the ability to switch between the enjoyment of going out and the comfort of returning to one's accommodation is what makes Kinosaki unique.

Meals are served in your room. You can relax and enjoy the local ingredients of Tajima without worrying about your surroundings. It's not flashy, but we value providing a time that feels "just right."

Mikuniya is not a large inn, but that means we can be very close to each and every guest. Sometimes, the way you spend your day is naturally decided through casual conversations, such as when you check in or before you head out to the public baths.

Kinosaki Onsen might be a place you'll enjoy more if you leave some flexibility in your schedule rather than trying to cram it all in. It's a place where what matters more than how many public baths you visit is how you spend your time there.

Kinosaki is also quite lovely during the season when the cherry blossoms have faded.
Please come and enjoy some relaxing time during this somewhat calmer period.
