7The charm of
Private bath
We wanted our guests to be able to relax and enjoy their time alone with their family and friends in the hot springs of our inns, so we were the first inns in Kinosaki Onsen to offer private baths. Furthermore, our private hot springs, Hana and Yume, can be filled with water, making them perfect for families with small children.
The private garden baths [Fuku no Yu] and [Raku no Yu] can accommodate up to 4 to 6 people. Of course, there is no charge for private use. It's all free!
Carefully Selected Dishes
Our head chef purchases ingredients every day and serves them to you. The Tajima region is also known as a treasure trove of A-class gourmet food. Tajima beef, the roots of Japanese black beef all over Japan, is the most delicious beef, raised in the deep snow, nutritious wild grass, and stress-free nature of Tajima.
Matsuba crab is the king of winter delicacies from November to March. Its delicate meat and rich roe are exquisite.
In addition, we use Koshihikari rice, which is indispensable to the Japanese, and is grown in Toyooka, which is said to be more highly rated than Koshihikari rice grown in Uonuma in recent years. In order to create an environment that is easy for storks to live in, we offer special rice grown with limited use of pesticides. Our breakfast is made with a focus on locally produced ingredients, and most of the ingredients are from Tajima. Breakfast is also one of our prides.
All guest room toilets are equipped with washlets.
Although small, the rooms are fully equipped with amenities such as a sink, refrigerator, and hair dryer.
Convenient location for touring outdoor baths
It is a small, cozy hot spring town. Our hotel is located close to the station, which is the entrance to the town.
In addition, the outdoor baths are all close by, making it a great location for walking around town. It's convenient to have a ryokan nearby when the weather is bad, such as when it's raining or snowing, or when you have to go home early.
The walking distance from Mikuniya to the outdoor baths is as follows: Sato-no-yu 3 minutes, Jizo-yu 2 minutes, Yanagi-yu 5 minutes, Ichi-no-yu 8 minutes, Gosho-yu 10 minutes, Mandara-yu 13 minutes, Ko-no-yu 15 minutes.
A service that women will love.
We also rent out colorful yukatas, amenity sets, and drawstring bags that go well with yukatas so you can enjoy walking around town.
We also pay special attention to the shampoo and body soap provided in our private baths, which have been well received by our guests.
We also have platinum ion facial steamers available to borrow at the front desk for self-treatment.
Customers can feel at ease
For guests with children, we consider both the adult and child's perspectives.
In addition, the MIKIHOUSE Childrearing Research Institute certifies hotels, inns, hot spring resorts, and other facilities where people with babies and children can stay safely as "Welcome Baby Inns," promoting the spread of facilities that are friendly to families with children and supporting mothers and children to enjoy outings and leisure activities more easily.
We had people from the Miki House Childrearing Research Institute inspect the hotel and in 2020 we were certified as the first "Baby Welcome Inn" in Tajima.
Our concept at Mikuniya is to provide a rich experience for babies and children. We are constantly updating our services to ensure that accompanying family members can have a comfortable stay, just like with children.
- ■I'm worried about my child crying at night... →If you contact us in advance, we will prepare a room with no noise.
- ■Will it damage any of the furnishings in the room? →If you contact us, we will remove it from the room.
- ■Will my children be a nuisance if they get rowdy in the bath? →It's a private bath, so you don't have to worry.
- ■I don't like hot baths. →If you use the "Hana" or "Yume" baths, you can add water to adjust the temperature to your liking.
- ■Do you have yukatas for children? →We have a wide variety available.
- ■We also have other amenities such as diaper trash cans and high chairs available.
These words were given to our previous owner by a customer. Since then, we have made it our motto and strive to create an inn that values "heart."
In a rapidly changing world, traditions, culture, and spirit must not be lost.
In these times, Mikuniya wants to preserve the good old things while adapting to the times, so that our customers can spend a memorable time here.
Mikuniya's unchanging belief has always been "a spirit of hospitality for customers," and we strive every day to provide service and an atmosphere that makes customers feel at home.
